Stewart Filmscreen Unveils Acoustishade Window Treatments

September 4th, 2008 · No Comments

This post continues to showcase some of the exciting innovations unveiled at this week’s CEDIA Expo by the Stewart Filmscreen Corporation.  In my last post, I described the Media Décor system which allows home and business owners to “disguise” their theater screen or flat panel television with custom artwork.  The next product I’d like to showcase also allows for elegant décor while making the most of your home theater or media room.  This product is called the Acoustishade window treatment and it maintains Stewart’s reputation for designs that are beautiful in both their aesthetics and function.

The Acoustishade treatment is a custom roller shading system that controls both noise and sunlight in home entertainment environments (or office environments.)  Stewart describes them this way:

“Stewart’s exclusive AcoustiShade is the first window treatment that controls both incoming light and distracting noise coming through windows. The AcoustiShade uses a patent pending acoustical film to block incoming sound while retaining the size, flexibility, functionality, look and style of a standard decorative roller shade.”

The beauty of this design is that it blocks distracting noise from outside your windows which is imperative for any theater or presentation environment.  This will be especially attractive to those whose homes are built close to their neighbors or street traffic.  Office buildings and urban condos would also benefit greatly from this product.

The sunlight blocking abilities are also unrivaled, ensuring that your screens will not be washed out or filled with distracting glare.  As we’ve come to expect from Stewart, the elegance of aesthetics and function are also built into this design.  The shades are attractive, available in variety of colors, styles, and fabrics to match your existing decor, and operate with a “whisper quiet” motor.
